About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Waitress/Front Staff to join the team at An Indian Affair in Armidale, NSW. This is a casual role that will see you at the heart of the restaurant, delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for all our customers.
Weekend dinner and weekday dinner shifts are available for this casual position.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting and welcoming customers upon arrival
* Taking food and drink orders, and communicating these accurately to the kitchen
* Delivering food and drinks to customers in a timely and professional manner
* Clearing and resetting tables, and maintaining a clean and tidy dining area
* Providing recommendations on menu items and specials to enhance the customer experience
* Processing payments and operating the cash register
* Applicants must be 15 years of age or older to be eligible for this position
* Assisting with other front-of-house duties as required
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within the hospitality industry
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide friendly and attentive service
* Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to handle a fast-paced environment
* A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
* Knowledge of food and beverage service, including basic food safety and hygiene practice
* Australian work rights are required, with no visa sponsorship available
