Job Description:
The Open Space Planner will contribute to the development, review and implementation of public open space policies and strategies for all aspects of the City's open public space network and associated facilities.
This role involves coordinating feedback on planning referrals and landscape plans from various City departments, providing specialist advice on legislative requirements, working with internal and external stakeholders, reviewing public open space master plans, and project managing projects within public open space.

Key Responsibilities:
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in town planning, urban design, recreation planning or a related field, with relevant experience in policy development, town planning legislation, and project management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in policy development
* Theoretical and practical knowledge of town planning legislation
* A sound knowledge of contemporary recreation trends and issues
* Ability to collect and analyse data
* Ability to develop positive professional relationships
* Experience in project management and infrastructure delivery
