Child & Adolescent Health Service 2027 Senior Registrar Intake
This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 6-12 months with the possibility of extension(s).
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/10/2026.
Position profile
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Registrar to join our Anaesthesia department. As a senior trainee, the successful candidate will provide anaesthesia care to paediatric patients and contribute to the department's mission of delivering high-quality patient care. Under the supervision of Anaesthesia consultants, the Senior Registrar will have the opportunity to further develop their skills and knowledge in the field of anaesthesia, as they work towards completing their provisional fellowship year or undertake post-fellowship training.

CAHS is made up of Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Perth Children's Hospital.

* A detailed curriculum vitae (of no more than 4 A4 pages) including the names and contact details of 2 x referees. Your CV must provide a summary of your experience in the context of the advertised vacancy.
* Applicants are advised to write a statement addressing the selection criteria (of no more than 4 A4 pages). Answers to these questions are a requirement for assessment against the selection criteria, considered by the panel.
* A cover letter outlining a brief overview of your experience and:
o Preferred commencement date (February or August 2027) and;
o Preferred position and contract length where applicable (Anaesthesia only (6 or 12 months) and/or Anaesthesia/PICU (12 months))
Referees: It is preferable for your referee to be a current supervisor or manager.

* Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
