Role Snap Shot
Our Town Planners provide high quality statutory and strategic advice to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients in a variety of residential, commercial, government and industrial projects.
Whilst the Town Planner is accountable for deliverables of their specific project portfolio, the allocation of projects will be tailored at an intermediate level. Input and direction from Team Manager/Senior Planner will be required from time to time.
How You Will Contribute
 * Developing feasible, long-term strategies for client projects as directed by Team Manager
 * Offer sound planning advice with direction from Team Manager/Senior Planner as required to assist clients in achieving desired outcome, including: -
o Preliminary advice;
o Input and assistance with design;
o Preparation, lodgment and management of Planning Permit Applications and Planning Scheme Amendments;
o Issue management;
o Follow up (amended plans, appeals etc).
 * Preparation of evidence and representation at VCAT hearings on behalf of client;
 * Compile accurate and comprehensive reports in accordance with TDS guidelines and conventions;
 * Other duties as instructed by Team Manager /Senior Planner.
**Our Ideal Person
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:**
 * Tertiary qualification in Town Planning (Bachelor of Applied Science (Planning)/ Bachelor of Urban Planning & Development or equivalent);
 * Thorough knowledge of state planning legislation;
 * Land and development industry experience ideal;
 * Intermediate to advanced skills in the use of MS Office Suite, including use of templates;
 * Highly proficient in report writing with a sound grasp of appropriate planning terminology;
 * Ability to interpret plans;
