Overview
We are a family-owned small business based in Launceston with over 40 years servicing the Tamar Valley and Launceston Greater Region.
We are looking for someone to join us that is able to meet the following criteria:
Responsibilities
* An eye for detail ensuring that the high standard we are known for is maintained.
* Your job will include mainly work in our workshop to manufacture products for fitment as well as occasionally on the road installing them either solo or as a team.
* Candidates must have the physical capability to perform moderate lifting of up to 20kg when handling glass panels, be happy to work at heights, and stand/be on your feet for extended periods.
Qualifications
* The right to work in Australia and a valid Australian driver\'s licence with reliable transport is a must.
* Must have or have the ability to obtain WWVP card and pass national police check.
* Honest, fit and able to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised.
* Ability to prioritise workload and maintain contact with customers and office to ensure timely service.
* Willingness to learn to manufacture and install more specialised products and learn new techniques to ensure work is of a high standard.
* Well-mannered, reliable and punctual.
* Experience preferred but not compulsory in the manufacture and installation of residential and commercial screens including but not limited to:
o Shower Screens (Frameless/semi-frameless and framed)
o Mirrors
o Wardrobe Doors
o Security Door and Window Screens
o Retractable Flyscreens
* Trade qualifications (i.e. glazing certificate, white card) a benefit but not compulsory.
Employment Details
* Casual employment with full time hours 8-4:30 with a 2:30 early finish on Fridays, currently available with the potential to move to full time based on business workflow. This opportunity is for an immediate start for the right applicant.
