An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Private Vehicle Buyer to join our high-performing automotive dealership.
This role is ideal for someone with strong industry knowledge, sharp negotiation skills, and a passion for the automotive sector. You will play a key role in sourcing quality pre-owned vehicles, maintaining strong industry relationships, and supporting the continued growth of our used vehicle department.

About the Role
As our Private Vehicle Buyer, you will be responsible for:
* Liaising with purchasing agents and customers
* Maintaining strong relationships between the pre-owned vehicle department and wholesale buying/selling agents
* Purchasing vehicles from a variety of sources including trade-ins, auctions, and private sellers
* Conducting accurate vehicle appraisals and valuations
* Managing documentation and ensuring compliance with dealership processes
* Supporting stock turn and gross objectives
You will also work closely with the Department Manager to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Strong communication and follow-up skills
* Excellent attention to detail and paperwork accuracy
* Sound computer skills
* Automotive industry experience (sales, trade or mechanical background)
* Current WA Driver's Licence
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with key stakeholders
* Current WA Salesperson's Licence
Preferred:
* Strong negotiation skills
* Professional and confident telephone manner
