Our client is an international manufacturer and supplier of specialised machinery and equipment for the meat processing industry. The company leads the world in the innovation and development of meat processing solutions that raise the bar on the hygiene and table quality of retail meat products.
At this time, we are looking for an experienced industrial Electrician / Service Technician to take on a pivotal role encompassing new installations, preventative maintenance and process improvement on specialist machinery within meat processing plants.

On a daily basis your duties will include but not be limited to:
* Assisting with the Installation and commissioning of new machinery solutions throughout Victoria and NSW.
* Troubleshooting and remedial action on existing installations.
* Conduct preventative maintenance on existing installations
* Identifying and acting on opportunities for process improvement.
* Work closely with the Design team and Engineers on Project development and support.
* Hands on activities associated with the testing, installation and commissioning of projects.
* Liaise with and support other onsite trades and contractors.
* Regular interstate and some international travel may be required.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be able to evidence most, or all of the following selection criteria:
* Ideally you are trade or tertiary qualified in an electrical discipline and possess strong mechanical skills.
* You posses good mechanical skills
* A working knowledge of PLCs, and / or the ability to write or modify code, would be an advantage.
* Minimum of 5 year's experience in a similar position.
* Experience with systems incorporating compressed air, refrigeration plants, valves, sensors, and pumps would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
* Meat industry experience would also be highly regarded.
