We are looking for a motivated and passionate Full-Time Commis Chef to join the PLG team at The Coach in Ringwood. You'll focus on basic food preparation tasks, support experienced chefs, and maintain a clean and organised kitchen. Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu as per cooking guidelines and set standards.
* Support senior chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks, including food assembly and plating.
* Ensure food and safety procedures are being followed.
* Maintaining control and leadership in the kitchen during service times in allocated section.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workstation.
The role you are applying for may be quite fast-paced and require you to complete tasks including but not limited to lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for long periods of time, and utilising stairs.
Requirements
* Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
* Food Handlers Certificate.
* Experience working in a pub/bistro fast-paced environment.
* Understanding of fundamental cooking methods and recipe execution.
* Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Full working rights in Australia.
