About the role
The purpose of this role is to deliver high-level evidence-based nutrition and dietetic services to patients with severe mental illness at The Park – Centre for Mental Health.
This position operates within a Professional Skill-Sharing and Delegation (PSSD) model of care by providing and participating in supervision, training, monitoring and evaluation of the use of skill-shared and delegated clinical tasks and by delivering an expanded scope of clinical practice.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
* High level knowledge, expertise and skill in the provision of clinical nutrition and dietetic services to patients with mental illness and ability to provide dietetic services of a complex nature across the spectrum of mental illness
* Ability to participate effectively in a multidisciplinary team and liaise effectively with other senior staff regarding nutrition and dietetic service delivery and improvement opportunities
* Ability to initiate, implement and evaluate nutrition and dietetic/food service quality improvement activities
* Ability to provide professional development activities in the area of mental illness and clinical supervision to students and support staff.
Mandatory Requirements:
* The successful applicant must possess a degree or graduate diploma (or equivalent) in Nutrition & Dietetics and hold the Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) credential.
* Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
