Instructional Designer / Implementation Officer
Government sector based in St Leonards
FULL TIME 12 month Contract position
Client Description:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable government department currently seeking an experienced Instructional Designer / Implementation Officer to join their team in St Leonards. The role involves developing and implementing eLearning solutions as well as implementing key enterprise solutions for the government department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the engagement with stakeholders to develop implementation plans and training material.
2. Work collaboratively to obtain an in-depth understanding of the new guidelines, processes, systems, user experiences and the documentation requirements impacting the implementation of state-wide solutions.
3. Design, develop and deliver engaging training materials and programs in accordance with the user requirements whilst applying best practice instructional design and methods.
4. Scope, write and design appropriate blended learning materials to meet different end user needs.
5. Lead research on current processes and procedures related to patient flow, integrated care, revenue and billing and its impact on end user documentation and implementation of operational systems.
6. Manage the delivery of training and other implementation activities. This includes preparing and updating training and implementation plans, conducting training sessions and ensuring implementation plans are adhered to within the agreed timeframes.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
7. Experience (> 2 years) in developing high quality end user training material for use in various delivery modes.
8. Experience (> 2 years) in running customised training workshops that have differing levels of experience in the utilisation of technology.
9. Experience (> 2 years) in writing various technical documentation such as user guides, help guides, support material, cheat sheets, release notes, eLearning content, etc.
10. Excellent communication skills interpersonal, written and verbal with the ability to influence and inspire groups of people with a passion for transferring knowledge and skills.
11. Experience (> 2 years) in the use of Microsoft technologies in particular Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Word as well as rapid-development eLearning tools such as Captivate and Camtasia.
12. Experience (> 2 years) in developing implementation plans, processes and tools to support the implementation of complex enterprise systems that impact numerous stakeholder groups.
13. Strong skills in evaluation and ability to independently resolve complex issues raised by end users during and post system implementation.
14. Relevant educational background with preference for a Bachelor degree
