The Townsville Fire are North Queensland's only elite women's national sporting team, competing in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL). With a rich 25-year history, a passionate fanbase, and a growing national profile, the Fire are a cornerstone of the Townsville community and an important contributor to the region's sporting and economic landscape.

This role offers the unique opportunity to help shape the future of one of Australia's most successful women's sporting organisations.

We are seeking a self-motivated, relationship-driven Partnership Executive to join our Commercial Team and deliver outstanding value for our partners while driving strategic growth across the Fire's commercial portfolio.

About the Role

Acting as the day-to-day liaison for key sponsors and stakeholders. This role is integral to delivering exceptional service, coordinating contractual deliverables, and creating impactful activations that bring brand partnerships to life.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strength in relationship management, attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. You'll thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and have a passion for women's sport and community impact.

Key Responsibilities

* Sponsorship & Corporate Sales
* Proactively contribute to the identification and conversion of new sponsorship and corporate sales opportunities across hospitality, events, and digital assets. Support proposal development and sales presentations that align with partner objectives
* Partnership Servicing
* Manage and deliver all contractual entitlements for key partners with a focus on quality, timeliness, and creativity.
* Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and service providers, representing the Fire with professionalism and enthusiasm.
* Strategic Growth
* Identify and support opportunities to grow commercial partnerships and deliver long-term value for both the Fire and our sponsors.
* Game Day & Events
* Coordinate and deliver game day activations and sponsor entitlements, ensuring memorable experiences for both partners and fans.
* Reporting & Communication
* Maintain internal reporting, and regular updates to stakeholders on partnership performance and deliverables.
* Creative Activations
* Develop and implement innovative ideas to elevate sponsor engagement and integrate partners into the Fire's growing brand and community presence.
* Assist with other areas of the business including marketing and membership

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications

* Proven experience in account management, sponsorship, or commercial partnerships.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a relationship-first approach.
* Strong time management and organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to interpret and deliver contractual agreements with professionalism.
* Familiarity with the sports industry and a passion for women's sport.

* Location: Townsville, QLD
* Type: Full-time
* Reports to: General Manager
* Availability: Must be available for weekend and evening work during the WNBL season, including attendance at all home games and major events.
