Goldfields Community Legal Centre Inc. (GCLC) is seeking a dedicated Tenancy Advocate to provide tenancy advice, advocacy and support to residential tenants experiencing housing insecurity or disadvantage across Kalgoorlie and the broader Goldfields region.
This role supports tenants to understand and exercise their rights and responsibilities under the Residential Tenancies Act and related legislation. The Tenancy Advocate delivers client-centred, trauma-informed services and contributes to community education, ongoing advocacy and sector collaboration to improve housing outcomes and access to justice.
This is a non-practising role and does not involve providing independent legal advice.

You will be based in the Kalgoorlie office, with some outreach and regional engagement as required.
What you'll be doing
Reporting jointly to the CEO and Principal Solicitor you will:
* Provide supervised tenancy information, advice and advocacy to tenants
* Support tenants to self-advocate and, where appropriate, advocate on their behalf with landlords, agents and housing providers
* Assist clients with correspondence, applications and documentation
* Support clients in conciliation or court processes, within service scope and supervision
* Maintain accurate client records and service data
* Contribute to community education, resource development and systemic advocacy
* Work collaboratively with lawyers, community services and sector partners
What You'll Have
GCLC welcomes applicants with experience in advocacy, community services or housing support who are committed to social justice and client-centred practice.
You will ideally have:
* Experience in advocacy, casework, housing or community services
* Strong client-centred and trauma-informed practice approach
* Professional communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work effectively under direction and within defined service scope
* Sensitivity and respect when working with vulnerable and diverse communities
Experience in tenancy advocacy, knowledge of WA tenancy law, or regional service delivery is highly regarded.
