International Education Services (IES) is a directorate within Strategy and Performance division of the Department for Education with responsibility for delivering the State's international student program in government schools. Operating as a self-funded business unit, IES must comply with Federal and State legislative, regulatory and policy requirements, whilst competing in the highly competitive international education market and sustaining revenue targets. IES manages the business development; program and financial management; marketing; homestay, school and agent recruitment, accreditation, training and support; student wellbeing and support services.
The Executive Officer is responsible for providing a range of complex/specialised administrative functions to the IES directorate, which support its operational objectives and goals and is also responsible for delivering high level, confidential secretarial and administrative support services to the Director, International Education.
Qualifications
Essential: Nil.
Desirable: Knowledge of Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act including the Department for Education objectives and programs and office procedures and protocols.
