About the role
Champions IGA are seeking a qualified Butcher to join the team at our newly refurbished Whittlesea Supermarket. This position is available on a full-time basis however we are flexible to support work life balance and a part time role if preferred by the successful candidate.
As a Qualified Butcher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality meat products and exceptional customer service to our valued clientele.
What you'll be doing
* Expertly prepare, cut, and package a variety of fresh meat products
* Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, offering recommendations and advice on meat selection and preparation
* Ensure the meat display is well-stocked, organized, and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
* Assist with the receiving, storage, and inventory management of all meat products
* Adhere to all food safety and health regulations throughout your work
What we're looking for
* Formal qualification as a Butcher
* Strong working knowledge of meat cutting techniques, product handling, and food safety practices
* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide friendly and informative assistance
* Good time management
* A team-oriented approach and the willingness to contribute to the overall success of the store
