As part of our Audit & Assurance Services division in Darwin, you will support audit teams to deliver high‐quality financial audits, developing analytical and technical skills and strong communication.
The Role
A hands‐on role with opportunities to lead client audits and develop technical expertise.
Responsibilities
* Assist with external financial audits and reporting audit results.
* Develop an understanding of client businesses and associated risks.
* Assess and review internal controls, document client processes, test key controls, and communicate deficiencies.
* Perform substantive audit procedures to confirm assets, liabilities, revenue and expenditure reported in financial statements.
* Draft engagement letters, strategy reports, completion reports and audit reports for review.
* Travel locally, intrastate or interstate may be required.
Qualifications
* 2+ years prior external audit experience in an Australian accounting practice.
* Knowledge of accounting standards and audit procedures.
* Completion of the Chartered Accountants Program through CAANZ or CPA equivalent.
* Completion of a Bachelor's degree or higher qualification majoring in Accounting.
* Ability to develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Excellent written and oral English skills.
* Experience with clients in the not‐for‐profit sector, indigenous corporations, or hospitality industry is an advantage.
Salary
$80,000 – $98,500, package including superannuation.
