About the Opportunity
School of Psychology is seeking a dedicated and highly professional individual to fill the role of Senior Administrative Officer, overseeing the front-line operations of the Western Sydney University Psychology Clinics. This pivotal position ensures the smooth delivery of services by implementing approved processes that meet all legal and compliance requirements.
The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to Master of Professional Psychology trainees, clients, and staff—particularly the Clinic Director and Clinical Supervisors. Given the sensitive nature of the clinic's work, the successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional discretion, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide sensitive, effective, and efficient support in managing client enquiries and documentation.
* Investigate complex, confidential, and sensitive matters, delivering high-level analysis and strategic recommendations.
* Maintain accurate and secure client records in line with privacy standards.
* Manage client allocation processes and ensure proper record creation, maintenance, and archiving.
* Engage with local clinicians and referral organisations to build and maintain relationships.
* Provide clear advice and support to students and staff on administrative systems, policies, and procedures.
* Contribute to system enhancements to improve administrative processes in collaboration with leadership.
* Manage resources such as a Psychology Test Library, including ordering and stock monitoring.
* Prepare and deliver regular reports, feedback, and statistics to senior staff.
