About the Role

This role will be responsible for delivering the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program, planning and coordinating activities to ensure success. The role will involve recruiting, supporting, and engaging program participants, mentoring them to develop employability skills that drive employment outcomes.

The program focuses on addressing barriers such as travel, literacy, and access to local employer networks, leading to higher employment participation, increased education, better access to services, and socioeconomic gains for individuals and communities.

The position requires liaising with government departments like the Department of Trade, Employment, and Training (DTET), community organizations, and service providers to ensure successful program delivery. Business development with employers and providing training and assessment as needed are also included.

Essential Criteria

* Qualifications in Training and Assessment, Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Work, or Community Services.
* Experience in delivering government-funded programs such as Skilling Queenslanders for Work or similar.
* Coordination experience, preferably working with vulnerable populations.
* Cultural understanding of CALD communities and their support needs.
* Ability to understand labor market trends, needs, and barriers to employment.
* Ability to handle unpredictable situations and behaviors.
* High interpersonal skills for consulting and negotiating with stakeholders.


Desirable Experience

* Industry contacts and knowledge of the Business Industry.
* Experience working with CALD communities and groups.
* Innovative mindset and initiative.
* Proficiency in MS Office 365 and communication technologies.
* Experience providing culturally appropriate services to CALD or vulnerable populations.
