Job tasks and responsibilities
We are currently looking for an experienced Pipe Layer / Labourer to join our team on a full-time basis.
You’ll work as part of a crew constructing water and wastewater connections and mains for minor subdivisions and projects across the Southern Metropolitan area.
This is an immediate start and a fantastic opportunity to join a respected civil construction company with long-term work.
Key responsibilities include:
* Installation of water and sewer mains and connections
* Pipe laying to SA Water standards
* Trenching, compaction and backfilling
* Safe operation of hand tools and basic machinery
* Supporting the crew with day-to-day site activities
What we’re looking for
* A positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Be physically fit and ready to work outdoors
* MR Licence (preferred)
* White Card (essential)
* Experience in water or sewer construction (preferred)
Preferred but not essential
* Knowledge of SA Water construction standards (Blue Card)
* Previous pipe laying experience
* Experience spotting and hand digging around utility services
* Skid steer licence
* Front end loader or tipper truck experience
