About the Position
You will be responsible for leading impactful applied research across marine ecology, wetland, and benthic ecosystems, as well as climate adaptation. Your key objectives include securing and managing external funding, publishing influential research papers in high-impact journals, and mentoring emerging scientists.
Main Responsibilities
* Conduct strategically aligned research, focusing on securing external funding and industry partnerships.
* Secure and manage external funding for research projects.
* Publish influential research papers in renowned scientific journals.
* Mentor and support the development of emerging scientists and postdoctoral researchers.
Requirements and Qualifications
* A doctoral qualification with research expertise in seagrass ecological restoration or similar coastal restoration specialisations.
* A proven track record of research achievements, including publications, conference presentations, and recognised professional accomplishments.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
* Extensive experience in investigative research, demonstrating expertise in research methodologies, statistical analysis, and report preparation.
