Primary objective
Provide leadership and expertise in data and analytics to drive data extraction, establish reporting frameworks and analyse activity and
performance deliverables. Work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvements to support
informed decision making and shape strategic direction.

Context statement
Ability to create accessible, accurate and fit-for-purpose reports, from multiple data sources to support NT Health operational and
management reporting requirements. Ability to interpret the reporting requirements from a variety of stakeholders including clinicians,
front-line managers and regional executive to deliver requirements in a timely manner.

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Manage high level delivery of reporting and analytic outcomes related to health information in acute and primary health fields,

focussing on clinical outputs and key indicators as required across NT Health.
2. Maintain productive relationships with stakeholders to ensure data requirements are clearly defined and lead communication between

clinical information analysts and relevant parties.
3. Assist in the development of reporting frameworks and review reporting processes to provide recommendations to stakeholders.
4. Extract, validate and analyse complex health activity data from a range of data repositories in collaboration with stakeholders and other

information analysts, presenting outputs in a clear and concise format.
5. Provide mentoring, training and assistance to other team members. Delivering training to other staff within NT Health as required.
6. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in

order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
7. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven practical expertise using business intelligence reporting applications, SAP Business Intelligence, PowerBI and SQL tools to

extract information, design and generate accurate reports to specification.
2. High level conceptual and problem-solving skills and proven experience researching and implementing technical solutions.
3. Demonstrated strong ability to use various applications and business intelligence systems and adopt emerging technologies.
4. Experience in providing purposeful and meaningful Health activity reporting, enabling analysis to support informed decision making.
5. Demonstrated ability to independently engage and liaise with various stakeholders to obtain and develop reporting requirements, with

strong ability to provide guidance on reporting output.
6. Proven ability to interpret and present sensitive and complex information in a clear and concise manner, and to confidently provide

advice and explanation to executive and other stakeholders with high-level interpersonal communication skills.
7. High level communication skills, both written and verbal, and capacity to work successfully across cultural and organisational

boundaries maintaining high standards of ethics, discretion, confidentiality and accountability.

Desirable
1. Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in information management, computer sciences, or health related fields.
2. Understanding of clinical information systems used by the NT Health.
