About the Roles & Teams
This is a fantastic opportunity to join aCommunity Mental Health Servicein one of two key locum roles.
Both positions require experienced mental health professionals who are confident inacute assessment, risk management, and treatment planningin a regional healthcare setting.
Role 1: Acute Adult Mental Health (SRN 3+)
Provideacute mental health assessments, risk evaluations, and intervention planning.
Deliverpsychiatric and consultant liaison nursingin a community setting.
Support individuals experiencingsevere mental health crises, ensuring appropriate care pathways.
Delivereducation and training sessionsto enhance service capability.
Role 2: Child & Adolescent Mental Health (iCAMHS - CNS)
Conductcomprehensive mental health assessments and case managementfor children and adolescents withsevere and enduring mental illness.
Develop and implementevidence-based intervention plans.
Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other health professionals to provide holistic care.
Primarily based inNortham, with potential to work inNarrogin or Merredindepending on service needs.
Orientation provided in Northam(1-2 weeks) for candidates new to WA Health systems.
Skills & Requirements
Registered Nurse (AHPRA)with experience in mental health nursing.
Expertise inacute mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and risk management.
Experience inpsychiatric liaison nursing (Acute role)ORchild & adolescent case management (CAMHS role).
Ability to work independently and as part of aregional multidisciplinary team.
Cultural awareness and experience working with Aboriginal communities.
National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check & Vaccinations(or willingness to obtain).
