Learning & Development Officer
The role of a Learning and Development Officer is multifaceted. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating an engaging learning environment that fosters employee growth and development. Your focus will be on training and assessing employees in various areas such as on-road driving skills, customer service, workplace safety, and ticket machine usage.
* Establish effective working relationships with management and staff to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
* Coach new and existing employees in on-road driving skills, customer service, and other essential competencies to enhance their performance and productivity.
* Design and deliver interactive group training sessions that cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
* Conduct technical training in on-road driving skills, vehicle familiarization, and route navigation to equip learners with the necessary skills and knowledge.
* Lead coaching sessions and refresher training in technical driving skills to reinforce best practices and maintain learner engagement.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest policies, procedures, and legal requirements, applying your expertise to promote a best practice approach.
* Manage your daily schedule efficiently to ensure all training activities and assessments are completed successfully.
* Research and implement innovative learning content, methods, and materials to enhance training programs and outcomes.

Requirements and Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (highly regarded) or willingness to obtain this qualification.
* Current NSW Drivers' Authority or a willingness to obtain it.
* Current Drivers Licence (MR class minimum).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to learn and understand material quickly, facilitating effective training sessions.
* Demonstrated attention to detail, meticulous with paperwork, and ability to maintain focus under pressure.
* Intermediate computer skills.
* Adaptability in a changing environment.
* Understanding of the bus industry.
