About the role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our Hospitality team at the 1947 Coffee Clearview, This is a casual role with the opportunity to work a flexible schedule. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in the preparation and delivery of high-quality cafe dishes and catering for our clients and guests.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes for functions, events, and daily meal service
* Ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation
* Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
* Collaborating with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and implement improvements to existing dishes
* Providing exceptional customer service to clients and guests, responding promptly to any special requests or dietary requirements
* Participating in inventory, food hygiene management and ordering of kitchen supplies as needed
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
* Formal culinary training or qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavour profiles, and nutrition
* Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, visually appealing dishes
* Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and the kitchen team
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction from the Head Chef
