HenderCare is currently seeking a casual Personal Care Worker to attend several homecare services throughout ACT (North, South, etc.). Each client is funded for 2-hours each service. Successful candidate will be travelling to multiple clients per day, several days per week Monday to Friday.
About the role:
As a casual Personal Care Worker, you will aim to maximise the service recipients' independence by addressing their needs and building positive home environments and relationships with families and the community. The ideal candidate will excel in handling multiple short shifts, able to drive and attend multiple services in ACT, ensuring consistent opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the lives we support.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Domestic Assistance (e.g. cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, laundry, making the bed, etc.)
2. Personal Care (e.g. bathing, showering, toileting, dressing, medication management, manual handling bed transfers, etc.)
3. Community Access (e.g. supporting service recipients in accessing appointments or recreational activities)
Our ideal candidate:
* Minimum of 6 months experience in personal care provision is required
* Must be able to work short shifts (2-hours per client) with multiple clients per week
* Have the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations
* Have strong communication and documentation skills

* Current First Aid (HLTAID011) & CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)
