Gippsland Body Builders is a local family owned & operated business specializing in the manufacturing of semi trailers & truck bodies.
Gippsland Body Builders are currently looking for a welder / fabricator with relevant experience to join their busy team.
Interviewing early Jan 2026 with roles available for immediate start.
The desired applicant's role will involve:
* Fabricating tipping bodies from aluminium & steel
* Fabricating trailer chassis from aluminium & steel
* Truck chassis alterations & towbar installations
* Trailer repair work & alterations
* Fabricating componentry for all aspects of trailers & trucks
Desirable attributes, but not essential, include:
* Experience in heavy vehicle fabrication
* Experience in heavy vehicle maintenance / service and repair
* General knowledge of the heavy vehicle/transport industry
* A willingness to improve your skill set and grow within the business
* Knowledge and understanding of OH&S legislation
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Desired (but not essential) licenses & qualifications:
* Cert 3 in Engineering & metal fabrication (or equivalent experience)
* Current forklift License
