Blueys Event Hire, a small equipment and party hire business located in Katoomba, is currently seeking an Operations Officer (2-5 days per week) to join our dynamic team. We are looking for an individual who possesses a positive can-do attitude, exceptional customer service skills, leadership capabilities, and a hands-on approach to ensure smooth operations. If you have a current MR (or higher) driving license, a good driving record, and physical fitness to assist with event marquee installations, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

* Coordinate the installation and dismantling of event marquees, includes flooring and lights, requiring physical involvement
* Drive to deliver and pick up hire equipment from client locations with use of various vehicles
* Assist with supporting a team of employees at a lower level, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective operations
* Comply with health and safety regulations throughout all operations
* Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure all equipment is in excellent condition and meets customer expectations
* Maintain a customer-centric focus, ensuring exceptional service delivery and fostering positive client relationships
* Assist with vehicle logbooks, regular maintenance and cleaning of hire equipment and vehicles
* Fill gas bottles for customers and hire equipment as needed
* Assist with event styling on occasions, including balloon set-ups
* Assist with washing returned dishes using commercial dishwasher after equipment hire bookings
* Assist with small projects as needed, such as rearranging storage space and shop presentation
* Repair equipment and/or arrange repairs as needed

Requirements:

* A positive and proactive mindset with a strong customer-centric approach
* Physical fitness and ability to participate in event marquee installations
* Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
* Proficiency in computer systems and software relevant to the role
* Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities to meet customer needs
* Understanding of health and safety regulations and willingness to enforce compliance
* Proven skills and excellence in customer service, sales and administration
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent initiative and problem solving skills
* Good work ethic with a "can do" positive attitude
* Takes responsibility, honest and acts with integrity
* Capacity to uphold Blueys Event Hire values
