Driven by energy transition focus, decarbonisation targets and population growth, the Resources sector continues to accelerate capital investments in discovering and developing new assets, whilst optimising existing operations. From assessments through to closure, Jacobs is well placed to support them on that journey.
As the Project and Proposal Engineering Lead – Resources, you will be will focus on leading the operational response aspects in support of the pursuits and delivery of key opportunities within the new energy and resources sectors. This appointment will be focusing on developing a Jacobs offering that leverages our existing multi-disciplinary capability providing a unique value proposition for our clients. Where gaps are identified in Jacobs existing offering you wall assist to articulate to management to assist to fill these gaps.
The role will work alongside externally focussed Growth and Sales, Engineers, Design Management and Project Management team members and will be instrumental in collaborating with commercial, project management, engineering and design technical leaders to create non solicited as well as solicited bid responses to win and successfully deliver a range of projects, growing the portfolio within Jacobs.
This Lead role will primarily focus (but not limited to)
* Hands on in delivery and management of bid and proposal responses for the Resources Team.
* Spearheading the operational proposal and bid preparation and submittals to promote financially successful projects whilst achieving excellent client satisfaction.
* Leading the collaboration with commercial, project management, technical leaders to respond to opportunities in the mining resources market
* Manage and support cross functional team contribution, in terms of bid response development, building capability to grow the new energy and resources portfolio.
* Manages, coordinates, writes, reviews, and edits pricing tools, text, and metrics for sales documents such as proposals, qualifications, and presentation slides
* In depth and breadth of expertise in multi discipline project delivery ranging from sustaining capital to asset projects and large projects
* Lead the developing, implementation and maintenance of pipeline and growth with professional, coordinated proposal responses to meet sales and client solutions.

Here's what you'll need
* Relevant Tertiary Qualifications and demonstrated professional experience within the Mining Resources Sector.
* Experience of successfully delivering bid and proposal responses for resources and/or new energy key clients
* Provide verification of accuracy and completeness on proposal and bid responses.
* Project Engineering / Project Management and Site Experience within the Mining Resources sector is highly regarded.
* Knowledge of various aspects of the planning, design and commissioning process, construction methods and interface requirements of multi-disciplinary projects.
* Knowledge of the current Engineering service provider norms
