Help us achieve best-in-class consumer underwriting by identifying and addressing gaps in our understanding of risks, pricing effectiveness, and oversight capabilities. As an Underwriting Specialist, you'll play a key role in developing data-driven recommendations and delivering solutions aligned with our underwriting principles: transparency, fairness, alignment across the value chain, and agility.
What You'll Do
Analyse underwriting data and processes to identify risks and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design agile solutions that meet regulatory and customer expectations
Document current and future state processes, driving governance and compliance uplift including DDO
Coordinate delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring timely execution and quality outcomes
Support the design and implementation of improved underwriting frameworks aligned to industry standards
What You'll Bring
Proven experience in financial services, ideally general insurance, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to synthesise complex information and translate it into actionable insights
Experience in project delivery using Agile, Lean, or waterfall methodologies
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills to influence and collaborate effectively
Familiarity with risk management practices and governance frameworks
