About the Role
As the Pre-Assurance & Change Transformation Lead, you'll partner directly with senior leaders to drive sustainable, measurable improvements aligned with the company's commitment to responsible selling and regulatory compliance. Your focus will be on embedding risk ownership, strengthening internal controls, and supporting transformation efforts prioritising customer protection.
This role goes beyond compliance; it involves cultural change, operational excellence, and future-proofing the business through robust governance and assurance frameworks.
Location: Macquarie Park (three days a week in the office)
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the design and implementation of the pre-assurance and change strategy, ensuring alignment with program objectives and regulatory commitments.
2. Prepare the business for external assurance, audits, and regulatory reviews, focusing on customer outcomes and sustainable process change.
3. Embed strong Line 1 risk capabilities by partnering with executive leaders and frontline teams.
4. Develop assurance stage-gating and readiness frameworks to guide transformation initiatives in areas such as:
* Incentives & commissions
* Vulnerable customer management
* Complaints & debt handling
* Credit checks, remediation, ACL compliance
* Ensure documentation, audit trails, and reporting meet regulatory expectations (ACCC, CCO, etc.).
* Monitor and report on progress, risk posture, and maturity of responsible selling capabilities.
What We're Looking For
* 10+ years in senior risk, assurance, compliance, or transformation roles within regulated environments.
* Experience leading organisational change balancing risk, compliance, and customer experience.
* Expertise in assurance frameworks, audit readiness, and governance.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influence skills at the executive level.
* Experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional risk and cultural programs.
