About the role
We're on the lookout for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our Hebel team in Somersby. This is a hands‑on role in a large‑scale manufacturing environment where you'll play a big part in keeping the plant running safely and efficiently. If you're someone who likes solving real problems, working with solid people, and getting stuck into meaningful work, you'll fit right in.
You're a licensed electrician who's comfortable in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting. You know your way around automated equipment and you're confident getting into the details when something isn't behaving the way it should.
This is a full time, permanent role working a rotating 12‑hour shift roster (24 / 7)
Your day-to-day will include :
* Preventative, breakdown and shutdown maintenance across all electrical equipment
* Fault finding, troubleshooting and working to minimise downtime
* Supporting plant improvements by digging into performance issues and helping implement smarter ways of working
* Making sure maintenance programs run to plan and meet required standards
* Completing required documentation, JSA / SWMS, and maintaining high safety compliance
* Developing AFPPs and PMs
* Working with contractors on electrical installation and service work
* Following all site safety procedures and setting the tone for safe behaviour
What you bring to the role
* Electrical trade licence
* Strong hands‑on maintenance background
* Fault‑finding experience, ideally including PLC / SCADA exposure
* Solid safety mindset with experience completing risk assessments
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well with fitters, contractors, and production teams
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and think analytically
* Experience with asset management systems (SAP highly regarded)
* EWP, Forklift, First Aid
