Offer description

If you're an experienced EdTech sales or business development professional with a passion for transforming science education, we want to hear from you!

We're on the lookout for a driven, strategic individual in or around Brisbane to join our team and help us expand our reach in science education across Queensland.

About Stile

We have a vision for more interesting, rigorous and inclusive science education for Australian students. Imagine a world where mundane tasks like lesson planning are taken care of, and teachers are offered plenty of support to be full-time classroom superheroes! Stile is Australia's only complete, end‐to‐end program for Years 7-10 science. It offers meticulously crafted lesson-by-lesson teaching plans, printable revision resources, videos, questions, simulations and practical activities. It's what we wish we had when we were teaching. Built upon our world‐class teaching and learning platform, Stile is updated weekly with the latest in science and technology.

At our foundation, we encourage kids to think critically about the world around them and make evidence‐based decisions for themselves and their community. For more information, have a read of our 'why'.

Over 40% of Year 7‐10 students in Australia use Stile, and we expect this number to continue to grow rapidly in the coming years as we expand further into the US. That's quite some reach, and it's a responsibility we take very seriously.

The Stile team is made up of 80+ incredible teachers, scientists, artists and engineers who genuinely care about, and are working towards, improving scientific literacy amongst our young citizens.

That's where you come in.

About the role

This is no ordinary sales and business development role—it's your chance to make a real difference in education. If you thrive on building relationships and driving meaningful change, you'll love this opportunity. You'll collaborate with school leaders and passionate educators, empowering them to transform their classrooms with cutting‐edge teaching strategies powered by Stile.

Your mission: drive growth and expand Stile's footprint across Queensland. You'll be the face of Stile, forging strong relationships with schools and key players in the STEM community - building a vibrant network that's passionate about improving science education.

How you'll spend your time

* Communicating Stile's value to school leaders. Use your experience in the Ed Tech and/or education sector to connect with school leaders and show how Stile can help them achieve their strategic goals.
* Visiting schools and discussing best practice science teaching with like‐minded educators. You'll work with teachers to help them implement evidence‐based teaching strategies with Stile. Mostly, you'll be working with schools in Brisbane, but you may occasionally find yourself booking regional trips too.
* Building community. Building relationships with those in the local STEM community is key to being successful in this role. For this reason, you'll be in regular attendance at local events and conferences. You'll also be responsible for hosting networking events, including leadership dinners, where members of the science education community can build connections with one another.
* Continuing to hone your own skills and knowledge. We're lifelong learners at Stile, so we're always looking to improve our practice. You'll find yourself reading up on the latest negotiation strategies, or learning about the latest trends in education technology. You can also expect to spend time peer‐reviewing work with your colleagues, ensuring we're always delivering the best possible service.

A bit more about you

* You have proven experience (3+ years) in sales, business development, or account management within the EdTech or education industry
* You have a strong understanding of the Australian education landscape and a passion for improving science education
* You have exceptional communication and relationship‐building skills, with the ability to connect with educators and school leaders at all levels
* You have a proactive, self‐driven approach with a passion for solving problems and helping others succeed
* You have a lifelong learner mindset - you're constantly seeking feedback and striving for continuous improvement

At Stile, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace. If you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't perfectly align with all of the points above, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or another role.

What's in it for you

* Colleagues worth working with. You'll join an amazing 80‐strong team of teachers, scientists, artists, and engineers. We hold ourselves and each other to a high standard and love what we do.
* Working on something that really matters. In partnership with teachers, we're coaching students to become problem solvers and critical thinkers. We believe that with a strong command of science, tomorrow's citizens and leaders are set up to sort the misinformation from the facts.
* Support always. Stile is its people, and it's important we are creating an environment where you're supported, happy and able to do your best work. We have strong management and feedback frameworks and a great benefits program.
* Flexibility. We expect you to work hard, but you'll have flexible hours and be the master of your own schedule. There's no rigid timetable to adhere to.
* Your own professional development. We're lifelong learners here at Stile. In addition to teaching you everything you need to know to succeed in this role, we provide a generous PD allowance.

Hours and location

This is a full‐time role based remotely in Brisbane, Australia. When you're not on the road, you will work from home.

Work hours are flexible but generally follow a 9-5 schedule. Usually, school visits and PD sessions run before or after school or anywhere in between.

You'll regularly be driving to schools, so you'll need your own car (don't worry, we cover your expenses). Semi‐regular travel will be required within QLD to visit schools, and interstate for Stile events and training.

Sound interesting?

Great! We want to know more about you, so read the details below then click apply and ensure you provide that cover letter to show you're great at following the details.

* A cover letter addressed to Daniel Pikler (no more than a page) explaining why you're going to smash this role out of the park. Include a paragraph on your proudest professional achievement.
* Your resume.
