We are seeking a Conference and Events Operations Manager to lead our Conference & Events operations and deliver exceptional experiences across weddings, conferences, meetings and social events. This is an opportunity for a talented professional to oversee the full Conference & Events operation, ensuring seamless delivery, strong financial performance, and a motivated, high-engagement team.
About the Role
You will be responsible for leading day-to-day C&E operations and event execution, running team briefings, training and coaching, ensuring exceptional guest service and managing VIP needs, overseeing rostering, payroll compliance and labour planning, maintaining high standards across event spaces, BOH and FOH, building strong cross-departmental relationships, reviewing guest feedback and driving continuous improvement, and supporting safety, hazard management and operational compliance.
What You'll Do
* Lead and manage the Conference & Events team to achieve business objectives.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of events and conferences.
* Manage budgets and financial reports to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
* Maintain high standards of quality and service excellence in all aspects of conference and events operations.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers and colleagues.
Requirements
* Full working rights in Australia.
* Tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Events or similar.
* At least 3 years' experience managing C&E or hotel operations.
* Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing teams.
* Financial and budget management capability.
* Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
* Valid NSW RSA + First Aid.
* Ability to work a flexible roster including evenings/weekends.
