Job Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Environmental Expert to join our team in New South Wales. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in environmental management and compliance, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work and fostering positive team culture.
The role involves preparing environmental assessment reports, collaborating across disciplines, and managing specialist inputs. You will also be responsible for delivering or contributing to high-quality client proposals and overseeing commercial aspects of projects.
The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental management, science, or engineering, and at least 5 years of experience delivering environmental compliance and/or impact assessments on projects in New South Wales. Knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation and planning policy is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare environmental assessment reports including environmental impact statements (EISs) and review of environmental factors (REFs).
• Collaborate across disciplines to maintain the integrity of designs and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Manage specialist inputs including collaboration with other internal disciplines and sub-consultants.
• Deliver or contribute to high-quality client proposals.
• Oversee commercial aspects of projects, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental management, science, or engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience delivering environmental compliance and/or impact assessments on projects in New South Wales.
• Knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation and planning policy.
• A proven track record of delivering high-quality work and fostering positive team culture.
• Commercial acumen and the ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (REAP) qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.
