About the role
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking pharmacy leader to join our team as Lead Pharmacist - Business and Medicines Strategy. This is a newly created leadership role that holds key responsibilities in financial stewardship, procurement, governance and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
* Leadership of the Quality Use of Medicines Team
* Driving financial and cost saving initiatives for medicines management
* Leading tenders and working with the pharmaceutical industry
* Medicines Governance and support to the Drugs and Therapeutics Committee
* Enhance systems and tools for monitoring expenditure and savings
* Developing strategic business plans and implementing new initiatives
About you
You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
Qualifications
* At least 8 years' hospital pharmacy experience with proven leadership capability.
* Strong operational management skills across people, performance and financial oversight.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‐building skills.
* Deep understanding of hospital pharmacy services, medication safety and quality improvement.
* Commitment to professional development, education and evidence‐based practice.
* AHPRA registration and relevant postgraduate qualifications
