Overview
We are seeking a project geologist to participate in all aspects of exploration programs at the Company’s 1.7 Moz Au Woodlark gold development project in Papua New Guinea. Working as part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for providing on-site geological expertise and support to ensure the safe and efficient execution of exploration programs including mapping, soil sampling and drilling.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site geological expertise and support to ensure safe and productive execution of exploration programs, including mapping, soil sampling and drilling.
Qualifications & Skills
- Passion for the science of geology and motivation to further develop your career.
- Commitment to safety, strong organisational and communication skills.
- Experience in remote gold exploration.
- Familiarity with Reverse Circulation and diamond drilling techniques.
- Willingness to work in a tropical environment with significant rainfall and moderate topography.
Role Details
- This role is offered on a twelve-month, full-time basis with the potential for permanency.
- While in the field, you will work a 4:2 roster (4 weeks on, 2 weeks off) with flights back to your point of hire, or elsewhere as required.
- East Coast Australia is preferable.
