The Pioneer's Lodge is seeking a capable and detail-focused Accounts Officer (Part-Time) to strengthen our Accounts and Administration team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on bookkeeping, working as part of a close-knit team, and contributing to a well-run organisation that supports its community.
Summary:
The Accounts Officer plays a crucial role in managing the financial transactions of our organisation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This part-time position based in Griffith, New South Wales, is essential for maintaining the financial health of the company and supporting our operational efficiency. The successful candidate will contribute to the timely processing of invoices and payments, fostering strong relationships with vendors and clients.
Responsibilities:
•Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
•Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
•Bank statement reconciliation (in addition to vendor statements).
•Prepare and maintain financial reports related to accounts payable and receivable.
•Assist in month-end closing activities and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
•Communicate effectively with vendors and clients regarding payment inquiries and issues.
•Support the finance team in various administrative tasks as required.
•Petty cash management.
•Reception support and other ad hoc administrative duties.
•Contacting debtors for payment follow up.
Qualifications:
•A relevant qualification in accounting or finance is preferred.
•Minimum requirement: Certificate IV in Accounting or Bookkeeping.
•Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable roles, ideally within a similar industry.
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
•Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
•Excellent organisational and time management skills.
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

•Accounting or bookkeeping qualification
•Experience using MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar systems
•Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills
