As the Radiopharmaceutical Scientist you will be manufacturing radiopharmaceutical products and their associated manufacturing devices. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to apply engineering principles to manufacturing processes and take onQC/production responsibilitieswithin a controlled laboratory environment. This is aBrisbane based positionwith relocation support on offer if required.

What will you be doing?
You will be a key team member performing manufacturing processes that focus on two key elements – the manufacturing device and the radiopharmaceutical API. As such, each day brings variety as the processes are scaled up to ensure that critical clinical timelines are met. As the company evolves from R&D production to commercial production there will be a need to apply strict GMP guidelines to meet quality and regulatory requirements such as TGA and FDA.
Note thatearly morning starts and night shiftswill be required for this role.
Key tasks of this role include:
• Perform the manufacture and analysis of radiopharmaceutical APIs and devices
• Conduct in-process and final product quality checks
• Support the transition and setup of equipment including validation and verification activities
•Collaborate with engineers to enhance manufacturing processes and troubleshoot technical challenges
• Analyse results and deliver accurate reports on time.
What do you need?

We are looking for candidates who have a great attitude, an eagerness to learn and develop their radiopharmaceutical skills, and who always strive to do their best to deliver results.
Other key requirements of this role include:
• A tertiary qualification in nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceutical, synthetic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or nuclear/medical physics (or equivalent)
• A tertiary qualification in engineering will also be highly considered - chemical, mechanical or biomedical(or equivalent)
•Experience in process engineering, automation, or equipment validation (highly desirable)
• Knowledge of what GMP means and why it is essential in radiopharmaceutical manufacturing
• A Queensland Radiation Use Licence would be highly desired
• Have a proactive approach to working in a small team where no task is too small or too big.
Note that this role is working with radiation products in a safety controlled and regulated environment, so you must be comfortable working in this environment and maintaining a Queensland Radiation Use Licence (provided by the company).
