About the Role
We are seeking a driven Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Brisbane team.
This is a hands‐on role with exposure to the full project lifecycle — from analysis and design through to site work, testing, and commissioning. You'll work across a diverse range of projects, applying first‐principles engineering to deliver practical, compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete engineering calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) to support design and certification,
* Prepare technical documents including reports and certificates of compliance,
* Conduct site‐based inspections, load tests and measure‐ups,
* Support project delivery from concept to detailed design through to fabrication and commissioning,
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
About You
* Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 3‐5+ years' relevant industry experience (consulting and manufacturing experience will be highly regarded),
* Experience applying first‐principles engineering for the analysis and design of mechanical and structural systems,
* Common projects may include design or certification of steel structures, lifting equipment, crane components, pressure vessels/pipework, tanks, trailers etc.,
* Experience using FEA (candidates with Strand7 experience will be highly regarded but not mandatory),
* Working knowledge of Australian standards including AS 4100, AS 3990, AS 4991, AS/NZS 1170 Parts 0, 1, 2, 4,
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills,
* Self‐motivated with good time management and the ability to work within project budgets,
* Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk Inventor experience preferred).
