Job Description

We are recruiting for a Project Engineer to support commissioning and completion activities and ensure they comply with all aspects of the contract, schedule, quality, safety and environmental requirements on the project. The position will report to the Senior Commissioning Engineer and will be based in Werribee, VIC.

About The Project

John Holland was awarded a contract for the design and construction of a $500m waste water treatment plant consisting of preliminary and primary treatment including a tankered waste receival area, sludge thickening system, anaerobic digestion and handling biogas, liquid food waste receival and treatment facility and an odour control facility.

Your Role

As part of the commissioning team, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering mechanical commissioning activities in accordance with the Commissioning Plan and under the direction of senior project personnel.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the development and implementation of the Commissioning Plan, programme activities and monthly cost reviews of the commissioning cost codes.
* Prepare commissioning documentation including plans, procedures, checklists, ITP's, ITR's and risk assessments and support verification that the commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with the plans.
* Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance, and reliability testing as described in the Commissioning Plan and in accordance with the Technical Specification.
* Assist review and incorporation of vendor documentation and requirements relating commissioning of components.
* Coordinate the input of vendors for commissioning activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
* Provide support and input to develop and produce the operations and maintenance documentation described in the Technical Specification.
* Assist with the temporary works design as required for the commissioning activities.
* Support the delivery of operator training sessions and commissioning handover activities.
* Provide technical support and be prepared to attend site on an emergency call-out basis if required.
* Ensure all commissioning activities are completed safely.
About You
* Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Automation Engineering
* Extensive experience in the field of M&E installation/testing & commissioning within large scale construction of brownfield wastewater treatment plant upgrades
* Demonstrated experience working as a Project Engineer or Commissioning Engineer within complex construction projects
* Strong coordination, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills
