Nolan's Interstate Transport is one of the largest family-owned and operated transport businesses, operating across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
Ideally we are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer. The successful candidate will be an organised and process orientated individual that has the ability to work on their own and in a team environment.
Reporting directly to the WH&S & Compliance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Oversee transport compliance systems across the business
* Monitor driver licence currency, medicals, inductions, and training renewals
* Manage infringements, investigations, and follow-up actions
* Coordinate responses to Notice to Produce requests and record requests
* Maintain accurate compliance registers, files, and reporting systems
* Monitor and manage cleaning contracts and contractor compliance requirements
* Act as Return to Work Coordinator, including rehabilitation and injury management support
* Assist with onboarding and induction of new drivers
* Support fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility, and regulatory obligations
* Liaise with regulators, insurers, managers, and external service providers
* Assist with audits, policy reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
The roster for this position involves working Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.
Ideally you will have
* Strong experience in transport compliance, safety, or logistics administration
* Sound understanding of NHVR, fatigue management, and transport legislation
* Experience with Return to Work coordination or injury management highly regarded
* Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the business
* High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
* Confident computer skills including Microsoft Office systems
* A practical, solutions-focused approach
