Our Gynaecological Oncology Unit has a Fellow/Registrar position available for 2026. The position is full-time for 12 months and would suit a FRANZCOG aiming to gain more exposure to gynaecological oncological surgery or complex procedures. The successful applicant will be involved in and supervise inpatient and outpatient management of patients with complex benign and malignant gynaecological conditions.
We offer comprehensive exposure to gynaecological oncology, including laparoscopic surgery, open surgery, and advanced cytoreductive techniques such as Peritonectomy.
The position requires full-time commitment with on-call and re-call duties.
Key Requirements:
1. Advanced clinical skills in Gynaecology Oncology
2. Effective interpersonal skills for communication, consultation, and negotiation across disciplines
3. Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate initiatives for cost-effective, high-quality patient care
4. Knowledge of contemporary Human Resource Management issues, including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity, and anti-discrimination policies
5. Development and implementation of quality improvement programs
6. Proof of qualification and registration with AHPRA is required prior to commencing clinical duties
7. Membership of RANZCOG or equivalent is mandatory
8. Must be vaccinated against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, pertussis, and hepatitis B during employment, in accordance with Health Employment Directive No. 01/16
