The property management and projects team is a dynamic and diverse group that tackles its work with enthusiasm, professionalism, and enjoyment. We manage complex properties, projects, and programs across the finance-owned estate, which comprises over 50 properties nationwide. We collaborate closely with other areas in finance, Australian government agencies, and relevant jurisdictions on major projects and opportunities.
Our branch responsibilities include financial management of the property special account and related advice to other business areas across the division. The skills and experience we harness and cultivate include policy and project analysis and advice, strategic property management, including estate planning, project management, remediation, heritage management, and divestment; plus financial, contract, and vendor management and procurement.

Key Duties Of The Position
The key duties of the position include leading the strategic property delivery team to deliver its work program, which includes developing a detailed business case to government on future use options for identified finance-owned assets, planning and delivering major projects subject to government agreement, establishing new commercial arrangements for available space in finance-owned assets, and whole-life asset management planning including costings and proposals to government.
The team's work involves close engagement with key stakeholders, engaging and managing specialist advisers, and an interesting mix of strategic, commercial, and project delivery in an owned property context.
* Leading a small team and external specialist advisers to develop business cases, in line with government frameworks and processes, for the long-term strategic use of and investment in identified properties.
* Deliver approved major capital works projects.
* High-level stakeholder engagement, including the ability to anticipate potential issues/risks and devise solutions/mitigations with an outcome focus.
* Building capability, managing a complex workload effectively, and delivering quality outputs and outcomes.
* Exercising sound judgement and providing timely and quality advice to senior executives and key stakeholders.
* Procurement and contract management, including commercial negotiation and implementation of commercial arrangements.
* Contributing to the strategic management and direction of the FOE.
