Job Title: Home Support Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Home Support Assistant where you will play a vital role in supporting clients with their daily living needs.
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to assist our clients with personal care, household tasks, and transportation. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Assist clients with general household cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, linen change, laundry, bathroom clean etc.
* Assist clients with personal care needs such as showering, toileting etc.
* Accompanied shopping and errands.
* Transport and community access as required.
* Engage and communicate with clients in their home, and other stakeholders as required.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Knowledge of the aging process and experience caring for elderly individuals in the community.
* Ability to travel and be flexible/responsive to client and organisational needs.
* Eye for detail and high standards of service delivery and documentation.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision, whilst accepting direction as required.
* Flexible, caring, patient attitude and an ability to work in a professional and proficient manner.
* Computer literate with the ability to use a smart device for work including care notes, rostering.
Qualifications:
You will need:
* Certificate III in Individual Support / Aged Care.
* Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
* Willingness to undertake a police check.
* Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
* Valid drivers license, comprehensively insured and roadworthy vehicle.
* Evidence of current influenza and full Covid-19 vaccinations.
