This Monday-Friday role offers the opportunity to discuss DIDO arrangements that suit the right candidate.What You'll DoLead and manage the commercial team, including the Commercial Superintendent, Senior Administrator, and Warehouse CoordinatorOversee budgeting, reforecasting, cost control, and financial reporting for the Gunnedah Open Cut OperationsAdminister budgets for construction, development, and operational projects, ensuring cost-effective outcomesMaintain internal controls and data integrity across financial and commercial systemsProvide accurate and timely reporting to Whitehaven, Joint Venture members, and auditorsSupport commercial aspects of projects, contracts, and operational initiatives to reduce risk and maximise valueWhat You'll BringTertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, or Accounting with an understanding of Australian Accounting StandardsProfessional membership (CA or CPA)Significant leadership experience in a commercial role, ideally within mining operations Experience with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and financial reporting in a multi-site or operational environmentStrong analytical skills, Excel modelling, and experience with systems such as Pulse (desirable) or TM1Why Whitehaven Coal?
