The Maintenance Engineer Role
The Maintenance Engineer role involves mechanical maintenance, servicing and repair of plant and machinery, strip-down, inspection, rebuild and reassembly of engines and mechanical components, fault-finding and breakdown response on mechanical systems, supporting installations, upgrades and planned maintenance, and participation in a rotating weekend call-out (additional pay). Occasional travel to nearby sites may be required.
Responsibilities
* Mechanical maintenance, servicing, and repair of plant and machinery
* Strip-down, inspection, rebuild, and reassembly of engines and mechanical components
* Fault-finding and breakdown response on mechanical systems
* Supporting installations, upgrades, and planned maintenance
* Participation in a rotating weekend call-out (additional pay)
* Occasional travel to nearby sites
Qualifications
* Maintenance engineering experience
* Level 3 Mechanical qualification or strong hands-on experience
* Ability to strip down and rebuild engines confidently and safely
* Background in Heavy Industrial plant maintenance, or similar
* Comfortable working in a physical, industrial environment
* Experience from agriculture, food, waste management, or manufacturing welcome
* Basic electrical knowledge
