Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, corrective repairs, and breakdowns on heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and greasing of moving parts
* Conduct corrective repairs and breakdowns on heavy equipment, including Caterpillar, Volvo, and Sandvik assets
* Maintain and improve overall operational standards in the workplace, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all employees
* Mentor apprentices and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years experience in heavy equipment maintenance
* High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certification an asset
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
