NECS is currently seeking a full-time Remote Monday- Friday Billing Specialist-Payment Poster to join our professional billing team.
As a Billing Specialist-Payment Poster you will be responsible for the expedient and accurate posting of payments received, posting insurance and patient payments via electronic and manually documented processes.
The Billing Specialist-Payment Poster will have strong critical thinking and problem solving skills in order to promote continuous quality improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Posts all payments to practice management system timely and accurately.
Reconcile monthly deposits in collaboration with Finance Department.
Completes payment posting process for Free Drug & Drug Replacement.
Maintains process for shared savings agreements.
Processes and communicates payments made on accounts in collections.
Run reports, reconcile all payments & refunds before month is closed.
Completes daily updates of revenue received and department goal tracking.
Sorts & processes all mail correspondence from Lockbox service to the appropriate team member
Communicates and documents payer denials to appropriate AR team member in practice management system
Analyzes payer remittance advice to ensure coinsurance, deductibles and patient balances are posted accurately
Identifies and manages payment posting errors
Familiarize themselves with insurance carrier websites.
