About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Aged and Disability Care Specialist to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will be working with elderly and disabled individuals, providing personalized care and support to enhance their quality of life.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Prepare and serve meals, and support clients with meal planning and preparation
* Provide companionship and engage clients in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities
* Maintain detailed records and communicate effectively with the client's care team
* Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for clients
Requirements:
* Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, or Community Services
* Previous experience providing care and support to elderly or disabled individuals preferred but not essential
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients
* A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
* A valid NDIS workers screening check
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, public holidays and/or sleepovers
