The Role
ABC Shepparton is looking for a senior journalist who thrives on all-platform coverage including live TV crosses from emergency zones, filing online stories from the field as they happen, reading morning radio news bulletins and breaking Goulburn Valley news daily. If you're a reporter who embeds yourself into your community to find original, unique, and engaging stories and you are creative and super organised, you'll love working in our accomplished news team to keep our diverse audience informed.
The Job
* Create content for all platforms for local, state, and national audiences.
* Produce and present news, interviews, and breaking stories
* Suggest unique, fresh content ideas to engage a wider audience.
* Support emergency coverage and liaise with stakeholders.
* Create content that reflects Australia's diversity.

* Qualifications in journalism or equivalent experience
* Strong skills for creating breaking and original content for multiple platforms
* Excellent editorial judgement and information gathering
* Passion for telling diverse Australian stories
* Proven ability to build community contacts
* Deep understanding of local issues in the Goulburn Valley
* Commitment to authentic, inclusive content
