We are seeking an experienced and passionate support worker with excellent availability to join our dedicated team in Rockhampton. If you have a genuine commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of people with disabilities and are flexible to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, overnights, and weekends, we would love to hear from you.
As a support worker, you will provide assistance to individuals in Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes, enabling them to live as independently as possible. You will be supporting clients who require a person-centred approach with complex behaviors. You will be empathetic and possess strong interpersonal skills, assisting with personal care and manual handling tasks that involve hoists, slings, and other tools for mobility.
To Be Successful
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and sleepovers.
* A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
* The capacity to meet the physical requirements as manual handling tasks are involved.
You will be required to hold or be willing to obtain:
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
* First Aid and CPR
* National Criminal History Check
* Australian open Driver's License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
